Karim Chrobog - Producer

Karim started his career in the media industry at Time Warner's international public policy office, where he worked with the company's Warner Bros., HBO and Turner divisions. Karim is also the founder of Tangier Pictures, 18th Street Films' sister company. Tangier Pictures is currently producing a feature drama on Ibn Battutah, a coloful but forgotten Moroccan adventurer who traveled 75,000 miles throughout the 14th century.

Karim is constantly traveling abroad seeking content for new projects. Karim speaks German and English, and maintains conversational fluency in Arabic.


Parule Basu-Barua – Executive Producer

Parule started her career with the BBC in 1987 working in Co-Productions and Marketing. She was recruited to relaunch and manage the operations of the flagship series ‘Tomorrow’s World’. In 1997 she launched BBC America from an operations perspective and then went on to become SVP Business Development and New Media initiating and successfully launching bbcamerica.com and BBC America On Demand.

Parule has extensive knowledge and experience of working in both the business sector and production side of Television. Parule left the BBC in June 2004 to pursue her own projects. Parule is also co-owner and is partner of curry club – a successful restaurant in Georgetown, Washington DC .
